BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — Following a heartbreaking loss in game one of the weekend series, the Sacred Heart University women's ice hockey team drew a 2-2 stalemate with LIU on Saturday. The Pioneers are in fourth place in the NEWHA.

The Pioneers kickstarted the scoring after Cannady Taleghani connected with the net 12:37 into the opening period off the sticks of Cassandra Nevers and Nicole Guidi.

The Sharks evened the score at 1:03 in the second period following two quick saves by Frankie Sanchez.
