
SHU Splits Fences at ECAC North Regional Championship

Pioneers defeated Dartmouth 3-1
HANOVER, N.H.- The Sacred Heart University equestrian team finished day one at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference North Regional Championships on a high note as they split the opening meets in fences on Saturday.

The Pioneers return to competition on Sunday when they compete in flat against New Paltz and Dartmouth starting at 9:00 a.m.
Of Note:
- The day started with the first meet against SUNY New Paltz where Lilly Bove tallied a point for SHU as she scored an 83.
- New Paltz would tally three points in the meet to give them a 3-1 lead after the first meet.
- SHU then faced Dartmouth in meet two of the day as Bove tallied a score of 78 on Cake while Danielle DeRisio scored a 76 on Bravado to give SHU the point.
- Alyssa Kinney scored a 67 on Mo which was enough to give SHU it's third point of the day to secure the 3-1 victory.
- Lilly Bove was named Most Outstanding Performer after meet two.
