Of Note:
Justin Jordan was posted at first base prior to
George Sutherland's fielder's choice that eventually brought the senior home in the fourth inning. Sutherland grabbed a two-bagger off a throwing error from Stetson's second baseman which allowed Jordan to cross the plate to put the Pioneers up, 1-0.
The Hatters rallied back with two off a single to left center driving in a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth. The home team recorded two more runs just two pitches later to put Stetson up, 4-1.
Stetson remained hot and scored three more runs across the fifth, sixth and eighth innings for the final score, 7-1.
