FAIRFIELD, Conn. — After leading through the fifth inning 4-0, the Sacred Heart University baseball team narrowly fell 5-4 at Fairfield on Tuesday.

Robert Farruggio cranked a two-run bomb out of left field in the third to put the Pioneers up 3-0.
Two frames later, Farruggio scored his second run of the night off
Tim McGuire's single through the right side.
A three-run seventh inning brought the home team within one before they recorded two more in the following frame to secure the win.
Jake McDowell had season-high five strikeouts through six innings of work as the starting pitcher.
