SHU fell 19-12 to QU and 10-0 to Dartmouth

FAIRFIELD, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University women's rugby team wrapped up its 15's round robin tournament on Saturday as they fell to Quinnipiac and Dartmouth 19-12 and 10-0 on Senior Day.

Of Note

The Bobcats took an early first half lead scoring a try with 8:39 left in the opening half to take a 5-0 lead.
The Pioneers then countered with a try by Makinzie Youngblood with 5:18 remaining to knot the game up at 5-5. A successful conversion by Alyssa Cunningham gave the Pioneers the 7-5 lead.
Quinnipiac answered with a try and conversion in the closing minutes with 2:57 left to give the Bobcats a 12-7 lead at the end of the first half.
The Bobcats started the second half with a successful try and conversion with 15:52 left to give Quinnipiac a 19-7 lead.
SHU scored the last points of the day as Katie Przybylski found the touch line to result in the 19-12 final score in favor of Quinnipiac.

Game 2 Score SHU 0, Dartmouth 10

Of Note

Dartmouth was the lone team to score in the game as they tallied a pair of tries with 16:59 and 4:55 remaining in the opening half to walk away with 10-0 victory.
SHU did have the edge in scrum wins taking seven while Dartmouth was held to four.
