The Red & White held a 2-1 lead in the third inning before
George Sutherland reached first base on a fielder's choice and brought Jordan home for his second run on the day.
The Knights narrowed the gap to one with a run off a single to left field in the third inning. Down by two and with a pair of outs in the fourth, an error by the catcher allowed the Knights to take the 5-4 lead before growing the lead by three in the following frame.
Levito, Emerson and Skarad's hit solo home runs across the third, fourth and seventh innings brought the deficit to three before FDU padded the lead with a four-run eighth inning.
The Knights succeeded on getting on base as they outslugged the visitors 12-10. FDU left 10 runners on the bags, while the Pioneers' stranded one.
