Steven Schoen smashed one out of the park for the fourth home run this series in the Sacred Heart University baseball team's 8-4 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday. The senior opened the scoring for both teams in the second inning with his fifth homer on the season.

In the fourth inning, the Knights scored a pair of runs to narrow the gap 3-2 followed by a solo homer of in the fifth to knot the game at three apiece. FDU gained the lead with five runs in the sixth inning.
Ryan Donnelly's double through left field chipped away at the deficit as Jordan scored his second run of the game.
The home team narrowly outhit SHU 13-11. The visitors left six Pioneers on the bags, while nine Knights were stranded.
The Pioneer bullpen combined for nine strikeouts with four from starter
Jake McDowell and closer
Owen MacDonnell. The trio of pitchers had three walks and hit four batters at the dish.
MacDonnell retired three-straight Knights in his first inning as the Red & White closer in the bottom of the seventh.
The Knights pitching quartet struck out 12 batters and only allowed three walks.
