FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net as they fell to the University of Vermont, 2-0, on Thursday afternoon.

Of Note:
- 7:30 into the first half, Vermont was able to fire their first goal of the year coming off the foot of Kate Bossert to give the Catamounts a 1-0 advantage.
- The Pioneers fired off nine shots in the opening half but were unsuccessful in scoring a game tying goal.
- Five minutes into the second half Vermont capitalized with the second goal of the game coming from Alyssa Oviedo with an assist by Bossert to secure the 2-0 victory for the Catamounts.
- Morgan Bovardi and Jaci Budaj tallied two shots on goal for the day leading the Pioneers.
