QUEENS, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University Women's Soccer Team opened its 2022 road schedule with a 2-0 win over St. John's on Thursday night. The win improved the Pioneers' record to 1-1.
Of Note:
- After no scoring in the opening half, first year Morgan Bovardi tallied her first collegiate goal at 48:19 to put the Pioneers ahead 1-0.
- The Pioneers added to their lead with a tally by Kelly Medeiros at 84:13
- Senior goalie Elyssa Kipperman posted her 12th shutout victory of her career.
- Sacred Heart held the Red Storm to just three shots on goal
