FAIRFIELD, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University women's rugby team opened the 2022 season on a high note with a 53-21 victory over Princeton on Saturday.

• The Pioneers started scoring early as Fabiola Millien-Faustin found the touch line just 2:35 into the game to put the Pioneers ahead 7-0.
• SHU tallied four more tries in the opening half before Princeton got on the board to give SHU a 31-0 lead.
• The Pioneers scored two more tries in the following half to secure the 53-21 victory.
