Nico Galette and
Bryce Johnson recorded double-doubles for the Sacred Heart men's basketball team as the Pioneers fell 74-70 to LIU in Northeast Conference action at home on Thursday night.

Johnson recorded his seventh double-double of the season, while Galette tallied his third as he led the team with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.
After a 42-32 lead at halftime, LIU used a strong second half for their first NEC win of the season.
In the opening four minutes, Sacred Heart jumped out to a quick lead, going up by eight points 10-2.
Joey Reilly put the Pioneers up by 12 at 7:10, 30-18. Galette followed up with a dunk for a 14-point lead. SHU held was up by 14 points three times during the remainder of the half before the Sharks cut their deficit to 10 as the Pioneers held a 42-32 lead at the half.
LIU went on to outscore Sacred Heart, 42-28 in the second half, to take the 74-70 final.
