Pioneers Race Strong At New England's

BOSTON, Mass. — The Sacred Heart University men's cross country team finished its second stint in Boston, participating in the NEICAAA Championships on Saturday afternoon.
For the third-consecutive meet, Michael Mason, Matthew Vene, and Edward Tristine finished in the top three for the Pioneers en route to a 13th-place team finish. Mason led the red & white, finishing in the top-60 harriers with a time of 27:11. Vene and Tristine finished the eight-kilometer race with sub-28 minute times, finishing 65th and 70th overall, respectively.
Sophomores Giovanni Prestipino and Patrick Curreri rounded out the scoring for the Pioneers as the team finished with an average time of 27:46.
