Men’s Fencing Goes Undefeated at NFC #3

MEDFORD, Mass. — Men's fencing competed in the third Northeast Fencing Conference competition of the year at Tufts University, winning all five competitions with three victories coming by double digits.

Each weapon tallied over 30 victories, with foil getting 39 victories, epee grabbing 32 victories, and saber stretching for 37 victories. In the first round against Drew University, the Pios took victory by forfeit.

For the foil squad, David Belluomo earned a weapon and team high 12 victories with Trent Miller behind him with seven victories. In the epee, Patrick Simpson came away with nine victories and Jeffrey Palma made his way with five wins on his own. Two on the saber squad had double digit victories, with Domenic Bartolo and Mateo Villareal each getting 10 and Vijay Ganta earning six victories.

The fencing team's next competition will be at the Columbia Invitational on February 15.
