BOSTON – The Sacred Heart University women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2023 IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships Sunday afternoon in Boston.
First year
Jada Alston (25.60) tallied a new personal record in the 200 meters prelims, shaving 41 seconds off her previous best mark set at the NEC Championships. She also clocked a time of 7.95 in the 60-meter prelims.
Joining Alston in the 60m prelims were
Maya Mocarski and
Megan Wassick, with times of 7.96 and 8.19, respectively.
Both
Tara Brody and
Madeline Archangelo took part in the long jump, with Brody (5.11m) finishing 15th and Archangelo (4.90m) taking 19th. Brody also tallied a mark of 10.64m in the triple jump to her weekend.
The duo of
Magdalena Brogioli and Archangelo both took part in the 60m hurdles. Brogioli clocked a time of 9.11, and Archangelo finished in 9.61.
Emily Raymond ran a time of 1:22.38 in the 500-meter prelims.
Jessica Pigott posted a time of 5:21.39 in the mile prelims.
SHU's qualifiers will next compete at the 2023 NCAA Men's Track and Field Indoor Championships on March 10-11 in Albuquerque, N.M.
