EASTON, Mass.— The Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team halted a Stonehill comeback attempt to earn an 11-8 road win on Saturday. The Pioneers are now 4-0 in Northeast Conference play.

Both teams traded back-and-forth goals, resulting in a 2-all tie at the end of the first quarter.
Sacred Heart found momentum in the second as it tallied four goals while holding Stonehill to just one. The Pioneers took the 6-3 lead over the Skyhawks at halftime.
SHU came out of the gate in the third with a 3-0 run to grow its lead by six. Stonehill responded with four unanswered goals to cut the deficit to two, 9-7.
