Alex Almuzara tallied his first collegiate goal in the opening half to help the Pios improve to 3-3 on the season, while senior
Olliver Persson's second-half tally sealed the road win.

Sacred Heart battled through wet weather in Rhode Island Wednesday night. Almuzara found the back of the net at the 20-minute mark, unassisted. Almuzara has become an essential component to the Pioneers offense as a first year, helping move the ball up the field.
The second goal of the night came off the foot of Persson early in the second half. In the 47
th minute, Persson shot low and left for the goal. He was assisted by a long ball from captain
Etienne Murugarren. This was Persson's second goal of the season, the first on a penalty kick against the Broncs of Rider University.

Andrew Hammersley recorded a season high of six saves.
The Bears showed offensive dominance with a total of 17 shots, seven shots on goal and eight corner opportunities compared to the Pioneers' five shots, three shots on goal and one corner opportunity.
Sacred Heart's defense held Brown to only one goal that came late in the game. In the 87
th minute, Brown's Cal Walsh, shot low and left sneaking past Hammersley for a goal. The remaining three minutes Brown picked up its pace, desperate for the tying goal. The Bears earned a corner kick in the last minute but were unable to capitalize on their opportunity.
This is the second time in program history that the teams have faced each other, this being Sacred Heart's first win.
