FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The regional sports TV network that covers the New York Mets, New York Jets and all New York sports is partnering with Sacred Heart University again this year.
SNY, which aired some SHU hockey and basketball games last winter, will show both sports during the 2023-24 season.
The full slate of games has not been determined, but SNY will begin its coverage of the Pioneers with an Oct. 6 women's hockey game against Minnesota State from the new Martire Family Arena (MFA), which will have the Stanley Cup on display two days earlier.
The following weekend in men's hockey at the arena, Sacred Heart and Colgate square off in an Oct. 13-14 series on SNY. The Pio men are also on linear TV Halloween night when the Cadets of Army come to MFA for an Atlantic Hockey contest.
The SHU-Fairfield men's basketball game is expected to be a hot ticket on Dec. 9 at the Pitt Center. College hoops fans who can't get a ticket can see the rivalry on SNY. The Pioneers' and Stags' women's basketball teams also play for an SNY audience in a Nov. 29 game on the SHU campus.
All the scheduled Sacred Heart games on SNY can be found on sacredheartpioneers.com.
