FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University women's volleyball team is back in the William H Pitt Center this weekend, welcoming both Marist and Siena for Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) bouts on the newly renovated Dave Bike Court.

LAST TIME OUT
Sacred Heart was perfect last weekend in a pair of matches at Notre Dame High School. SHU dispatched Rider first in four sets on Saturday before sweeping Saint Peter's on Sunday. With the two wins, SHU improved to 3-0 in home matches this season.
RECORD DAY
The Pioneers had a record day against Rider this past Saturday, tying or breaking four four-set program records.
Camryn Luginbuhl led the charge, setting new program highs with 30 kills and 30.0 points against the Broncs. She tied her career-high in kills, which she set in five sets against Kent State on Sept. 7. In honor of her impressive week, Luginbuhl was named the MAAC Player of the Week.
In addition to Luginbuhl, the Pioneers tied two four-set program records. Sacred Heart racked up 73 kills and 69 assists against the Broncs, tying four-set highs for the team.
Gaby Zovko was key to SHU tying the assists record, as she assisted on 51 of the team's 73 kills, two shy of her career high.
NATIONAL CHECK-IN
Following a successful weekend, the Pioneers continued to climb the national leaderboards in numerous statistical categories. Luginbuhl is now seventh in the country with 342 kills and eighth with 384.5 points. With her fourth triple-double of the season against Rider, Zovko became the eighth Division I player with four triple-doubles this year.
WELCOME TO THE NEW PITT
Saturday's match will mark a historic moment for Sacred Heart athletics as the Pioneers' women's volleyball team will be the first to play at the newly renovated William H Pitt Center. The Pitt has been offline since the 2024 NEC Women's Basketball Championship on Mar. 17, when SHU won its second consecutive league title.
LOOKING ACROSS THE NET
Marist
- The Red Foxes head into this weekend with one win on the season at 1-18 overall.
- Marist's lone victory came in MAAC play, a four-set triumph over Manhattan at home in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
- The Jaspers are the lone team in the MAAC that the Red Foxes are ahead of in the league standings, as they are 1-8 in the MAAC.
- Outside hitters, Taylor Miller and Sara Dasic lead the Red Foxes' offense so far this season with 200 (2.99/set) and 191 kills (2.89/set), respectively.
- The duo also led the team in kills during its win over Manhattan, as Dasic had 19 and Miller had 16.
- Katherine Thompson paces the defense with 143 digs (2.98/set).
Siena
- The Saints are 3-6 in the MAAC heading into their Saturday match against Fairfield.
- All but one of Siena's wins this season have come in conference play, as it is 4-17 overall this season.
- Senior outside hitter Sara Wagner paces the Saints with 225 kills (3.13/set).
- She tallied 10+ kills in all three of the team's MAAC wins, including 16 against Marist.
- Wagner has also been an adept defensive option, as she is tied for the team lead in digs with 151 and has five double-doubles to her name this season.
- Siena has also been a strong defensive team, ranking fourth in the MAAC in blocks.
- Sina Toroslu and Ella Treasure lead the charge at the net with 62 and 54 blocks, respectively.
