DelGiorno grabs fourth overall as five place inside top-20

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — Five top-20 finishes highlighted a competitive morning for the Sacred Heart University women's cross country team as it competed at the Brown University Bear Invitational on Saturday morning. The Pios grabbed their highest finish of the season taking second place overall out of 18 teams.

The Pioneers were led by Grace DelGiorno who grabbed her second-consecutive top team finish and narrowly missed out on a podium placement, grabbing fourth place with a time of 22:53.26. Grace Miller also grabbed a top-10 finish, getting through the six kilometer course in 23:24.45.

Adriana Franzese took third overall for the Pios and 12^th place of all competitors with a finishing time of 23:46.53 while Kelly Parker and Anna King rounded out the top-five finishers for SHU, finishing in order with times of 24:21 and 24:26. Carissa Weber and Jessica Pigott also had good races for SHU, placing inside the top-seven finishers for the Red & White as SHU grabbed a second place team finish.
