WORCESTER, Mass. - Those who got to the Worcester Ice Center fashionably late missed the first goal of Saturday's Sacred Heart-Assumption game. They had to wait until the very end for the next goal. In between, the fans were treated to a sparking performance from Pioneer goaltender
Carly Greene, who finished with 36 saves as SHU blanked the Greyhounds 2-0.
Sami Bowlby gave Sacred Heart a 1-0 lead just 50 seconds into the game, and
Addie Bowlby sealed the victory with an empty-net goal with just 10 seconds left.
The victory completed a weekend sweep for the Pioneers, who remain in first place in the NEWHA.
