• Chaput scored her team-leading 12th goal to pull Sacred Heart within one less than two minutes after Murphy's goal. Franklin Pierce, though, tallied again, this time at even strength, at 7:32.

• The Pioneers made a strong push early in the third and closed back within a goal when Holm finished from right in front of the net at 9:08. Sacred Heart kept the pressure on and had several good scoring chances but were denied by Raven goaltender Jen Hertl, who finished with 27 saves. Hailey Anderson then scored a big insurance goal for FPC with less than four minutes remaining.
