Braxton Fries-Appello recorded the lone win for the Pios at 133 pounds

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Braxton Fries-Appello of the Sacred Heart University men's wrestling team recorded the lone win of the evening at 133 pounds in the Pioneers' 43-3 home loss to Ivy League opponent Brown on Senior Night.

In the final match of the evening, Fries-Appello battled against Brown's Hunter Adrian, who won by a very slim decision, 9-8, despite Adrian tying the match at 8-8 after securing the final point needed before the horn went off.

Prior to the start of tonight's match, head coach John Clark and the men's wrestling program honored its 15-member senior class – Dakota Asuncion, Owen Ayotte, Nico Bogardus, Jake Carlucci, Ryan Dal Pizzol, Nick Demarco, Rocco DeMartino, Nicky Eboli, Andrew Fallon, Alex Giuliani, Jake Ice, Mike McGhee, Michael Molina, Calum Price, and Matt Walker.
