Equestrian Posts Second Perfect Score This Season in IHSA Competition

Pioneers finish first with 49 points ahead of LIU and NYU

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - It was a memorable Sunday for the Sacred Heart equestrian team on Long Island. For the second time this season in an IHSA competition, the Pioneers posted a perfect score of 49, defeating LIU (39) and NYU (33). SHU also had a perfect score in its fall home competition in October at the Silvermine Farm. This is the first time in head coach Tiffany Hajdasz's 13-year tenure, the Pioneers have posted two perfect scores in the same season.

Kayla DeStephanis High Point Rider

In addition, Kayla DeStephanis was High Point Rider. She finished first in the Intermediate Fences Sec. B and the Limit Flat Sec. C
