After a quiet fourth, Saint Peter's added two more runs to take the lead in the fifth, but the Pios quickly tied things up with an RBI single from
Tim McGuire.

SHU responded in the sixth two more with a pair of walks to cut Saint Peter's lead to 9-6.
In the late stretch, Ungar secured a solo home run in the seventh and D'Amore had an RBI single to cut the margin to 9-8. Unfortunately for SHU, it would not get any closer as it suffered the home setback.
