13 Women’s Wrestlers Earn Scholar All-American Status

Pios record a program-best 13 Scholar All-Americans
MANHEIM, Pa . – The Sacred Heart University women's wrestling team achieved another program milestone, with 13 student-athletes earning spots on the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) NCAA Scholar All-American list, as announced on Thursday afternoon.
A total of 395 scholar-athletes from 67 institutions nationwide are being honored for their remarkable achievements. These outstanding student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following academic and athletic criteria:
NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer commended these exceptional athletes for their unwavering dedication and excellence both on and off the mat. Moyer stated, "The NWCA is proud to honor these outstanding individuals who demonstrate excellence on the mat and in the classroom as well."
Representing the Pioneers were Elleahna Anderson (131), Love Daley (160), Cailan Drake (124), Madeline Hodges (207), Nohea Moniz (117), Lauren Nguyen (110), Madison Sandquist (180), Temi Sanusi (145), Jacklyn Smith (180), Tiffany Stoshak (103), Tayla Tildsley (145), Ahsia Torres (103), and Samantha Yap (117).
In addition to being named Scholar All-American, Sandquist earned All-America status at the 2025 NCWWC National Championship in Coralville, Iowa. Sandquist finished the two-day event placing seventh at 180 pounds, earning her fourth straight All-American honor.

- A top eight placer at nationals and at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Competed in a minimum of 15 matches that are recorded in TRACKWRESTLING and has at least a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
- Was a national qualifier and has at least a 3.25 Cumulative GPA
