FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's and women's ice hockey programs are pleased to announce Peter Pulaski as the teams' second Director of Hockey Performance.

Since 2016, Pulaski, a SHU alum, has owned and operated Elite Level Strength and Conditioning, where he provides personalized and professional fitness services to clients of various ages, abilities and goals. At Elite Level Strength and Conditioning, Pulaski has worked with numerous NHL players and other pro athletes. He has shown expertise in ice hockey, as he uses his playing experience to train players on how to enhance their speed, agility, power and endurance on and off the ice.

"We are thrilled to be adding Pete as our Director of Hockey Performance," said men's ice hockey head coach C.J. Marottolo. "Pete will bring energy and accountability every day, raising the standard for everyone. His knowledge and professionalism for individualizing programs to meet each player's needs, while building a unified team culture, is something that we are all excited about."

Pulaski's other professional experience includes stops at Yale University and the Prentiss Hockey Performance (PHP). At PHP, the Stratford, Conn., native helped teach NHL, AHL and college players injury-prevention techniques and provided speed and conditioning training. Pulaski has also served as a Strength Coach at Fairfield College Prep and the South Kent School.

"We are so happy that Pete is here with SHU women's ice hockey," said women's ice hockey head coach Thomas O'Malley. "Pete brings a wealth of cutting-edge experience, and our team benefits from that. I always say, 'What the team does in the weight room will transfer and have a direct impact on the ice."

Pulaski is both a certified Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also currently CPR and AED certified.

"I'm excited to be back at Sacred Heart, where I got an amazing education," said Pulaski. "I'm looking forward to building a successful culture that will propel our student-athletes to the next level. We will be ready when the puck drops in October."

Pulaski returns to SHU after earning an Exercise Science degree from the university in 2012. Pulaski played football for the Pioneers.
