
Women's Cross Country Claims Second at Season-Opening Stony Brook Invitational

First year runner Alivia Schweibinz took home a 3rd place finish
Stony Brook, N.Y. – The Pioneers opened their 2025 campaign with a strong showing on Saturday morning, earning a 2nd-place finish out of five teams at Stony Brook.
First-year standout Alivia Schweibinz impressed in her collegiate debut, placing 3rd overall with a time of 14:13. Graduate student Grace Sousa also had a strong start to the season, finishing 8th.
Top 20 performances from Grace Del Giorno (16th), Emma Daley (18th), and Adriana Franzese (20th) added depth to the Pioneers' scoring lineup. It was also Emma Daley's first collegiate race.
Rounding out the scoring for Sacred Heart were Kathleen Cronin (25th) and Ryann Walsh (27th), solidifying the Pioneers' runner-up finish.
