SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - In a battle between two "SHU" programs, that featured four second-half goals and 10 cards, the Sacred Heart University men's soccer team fought to a 2-2 draw against non-conference opponent Seton Hall on Thursday evening at Carroll Field.Â

How it Happened:Â Â
To say tonight's was gritty, entertaining and full of drama would be an understatement. After a scoreless first half, the action picked up in a an entertaining second 45 minutes. Â
The action started in the 60th minute, when Seton Hall's Aidan Tisony began the scoring, making it 1-0 Pirates. In the 76th minute, an Eli Stein cross kick presented an opportunity for Sam McCann as he delivered a shot in the back of the net to even the match at 1-1.Â

Then, the match took a turn. Luca Marinelli was given a red card in the 76th minute. The Pios only could play with 10 men for the remainder of the match. Seton Hall's Hugo Gerbore free kick made it 2-1 Pirates. With 10 men on the pitch, the Pioneers responded. It was a Nacho Rullan pass that created a Javier Lopez Cayuela goal in the 80th minute to even the match at 2-2.Â
In the 86th minute, a Sam McCann shot was blocked by a Pirate defender to keep the score at bay. In the 89th minute, after six total yellow cards were given out; the Pios had a throw-in from Brady Poor then got close to the net but was kicked away by a Seton Hall defender to end the match.
