FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Sacred Heart University men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against non-conference opponent FDU on Saturday afternoon at Park Ave Field.

How it Happened: 
In the 12th minute, Luca Marinelli made an athletic save on FDU forward Arnau Rabassa Guillamon's line-drive shot just left of the goal.

In the 55th minute, Ivan Morcillo forced a Pioneer corner kick with his second shot on goal, which bounced off the FDU goalkeeper's hands.

Both teams traded chances throughout the match, but it took 75 minutes for the scoreboard to move. FDU's Nk Tima found the back of the net off a cross from Alex Ferenac to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

As the clock ticked down, the Pioneers struck back. In the 84th minute, Daniel Losfablos rose above the defense to head in a Luca Marinelli free kick, leveling the match at 1-1.

Sacred Heart finished with 13 shots, five on goal, while FDU also had 13 shots with four on target.

Of Note: 

• Keeper Luca Marinelli earned his first point of his Sacred Heart career on the assist. 
• As a team, the Pioneers managed six corner kick opportunities to FDU's four.
