  • The third period opened with Bennetts tying the game at 1–1 on a goal assisted by Ella Holm. Shortly after, Stonehill answered with a goal of their own to take a 2–1 lead with just over six minutes remaining. At exactly the 4:00 mark, Jussila knocked in an unassisted goal to even the score at 2–2, sending the game into overtime.
  • In overtime, the Pioneers came out firing, controlling possession for most of the frame and outshooting the Skyhawks 9–3. Norah Morris nearly ended it, ringing a shot off the post, but the game ultimately headed to a shootout.
  • Each team had three shootout attempts, with Petruno stopping two shots before it was Heger's turn. In a one-on-one against Stone, Heger buried the puck to give Sacred Heart the advantage. Petruno then sealed the win by blocking the final shot.
