Equestrian Claims High Point Team Honors at Home IHSA Show

Pioneers celebrate senior and alumni day while extending lead in Zone II Region IV

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University equestrian team earned High Point Team honors at its home IHSA show on Saturday at Silvermine Farm. The Pioneers continued to lead Zone II Region IV while celebrating their seniors and alumni at their only home IHSA meet of the season.

Inside the Scoresheet:
Molly McKegney led the Pioneers, earning first-place finishes in both Limit Fences and Limit Flat to claim High Point Rider honors. Isabel Hunt also delivered a strong performance, placing second in Intermediate Fences before capturing first place in Intermediate Flat to earn Reserve High Point Rider honors.

In Open competition, Eleese Shillingford secured first place in Open Fences and third place in Open Flat, while Ella DiFazio added a first-place finish in Open Flat.

Virginia Martin earned first place in Limit Flat and fifth place in Limit Fences. Morgan Gariepy captured first place in Novice competition, while Claire Gaskell finished fourth.
