Bowling Slotted 10th in February NTCA Poll

Today marked the first time SHU cracked the top 10 since 2021
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University bowling team climbed into the top-10 of the February National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) poll after a strong string of results following the new year.
The Pioneers cracked the top 10 for the first time since the April 2021 NTCA Poll after a scorching hot January. SHU claimed a win at the tough Saints Invite, while taking fifth at the Flyer Classic. The Pios collected 13 wins against nationally-ranked opponents, including over No. 3 Arkansas State, No. 5 5 Louisiana Tech, No. 6 Wichita State (2x) and No. 9 Mount St. Mary's (Md.).
SHU is one of nine Conference USA teams in the top 10 of today's poll. Jacksonville State, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, Wichita State, Louisiana Tech and Nebraska make up the top six. Youngstown State, Wright State and Sacred Heart rank 7-10.
Sacred Heart is back in action this weekend at the New England Cup, hosted by Bryant on Sunday, Feb. 15, in East Providence, R.I.
