Velleco Represents Sacred Heart at CSCAA National Invitational

OCALA, FL. – Sacred Heart's Sophia Velleco represented the Pioneers at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship this weekend, competing in three events to close out the 2025–26 season.
Velleco opened the meet on Thursday in the 500 freestyle, posting a time of 5:00.55. She returned to the pool on Friday to compete in the 100 freestyle, touching the wall in 51.92.
On Saturday, Velleco swam the 200 butterfly, the event in which she claimed the MAAC title earlier this season. She finished 35th overall with a time of 2:04.60, holding her seed position in a strong national field.
The meet marked the conclusion of the 2025–26 competition season for the Sacred Heart women's swimming and diving program.
