The first year led SHU in a tie for eighth at the Women's Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay
EDISON, N.J. — For the second straight week, the Sacred Heart University women's golf team collected a weekly award from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as first year Maegan Pungsuwan was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week after impressive showing at the Women's Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay.
Pungsuwan led the Pioneers in a tie for eighth place at event. The first year carded rounds of 78 (+6) and 76 (+4) for a final score of 154 (+10). She helped the Pioneers finish third in the 12-team tournament, leading the four MAAC programs that competed.
The Pios will have a short break before heading to the Rutgers Invitational on Saturday, April 11, the team's final event before the MAAC Championship.
