She collects SHU's first All-America honor since 2021
CLEVELAND – For the first time since 2021, the Sacred Heart University women's bowling team tallied an All-American, as senior Hope Tafolla was tabbed Honorable Mention All-America by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) on Thursday evening at the NCAA championship banquet in Cleveland, Ohio.
Tafolla has played a key role in the Pioneers' stellar 2025-26 campaign. The Pios were ranked 10th in the March NTCA poll and hold an overall record of 71-45. SHU was the first team left out of the NCAA Tournament field after winning a match at its first Conference USA Championship on March 18-20.
SHU's last All-American was Rachel Bamford, who was named Second Team All-America in 2021.
The Pioneers will conclude the 2025-26 campaign at the ISC and ITC Nationals on Tuesday-Saturday, April 14-18, at the Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, Wis.
