Bowling Tabbed NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team, 11 Pios Named NTCA All-Academic Scholar Athletes

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas — After another impressive season, the accolades kept rolling in for the Sacred Heart University women's bowling, as the Pioneers were named a National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Scholar Team and 11 Pios were tabbed NTCA All-Academic Scholar-Athletes.
SHU, who finished the season ranked No. 11 in the final NTCA coaches poll, maintained a combined grade-point average of 3.626 to finish in the top 15 in the country. The Pios have made the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team in five consecutive seasons, with last year's team posting the best team GPA in the country. To be eligible for this award, a program must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the academic school year and be a current member of the NTCA.
With such a strong team GPA, the Pios also made a strong impression on the NTCA All-Academic Scholar-Athletes list with 11 members out of the 405 student-athletes. To be eligible, student-athletes must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.4 during the academic year. Leading the group were Morgan LiCausi and Megan Prettyman with perfect 4.0 GPAs for the year.
