Sacred Heart Rowing Earns 16 CRCA Scholar-Athlete Honors

Fairfield, Conn. – Sacred Heart Rowing placed 16 student-athletes on the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete Team.
Fairfield, Conn. – Sacred Heart Rowing placed 16 student-athletes on the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete Team, recognizing their outstanding achievements in both academics and athletics during the 2025-26 academic year.
The CRCA Scholar-Athlete Awards honor collegiate rowers who demonstrate excellence in the classroom while competing at a high level on the water. To earn the distinction, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, meet all institutional and conference eligibility requirements, and make significant competitive contributions throughout the spring season.
The Pioneers were represented by 10 members of the women's rowing program and six members of the lightweight rowing team.
Representing Sacred Heart Women's Rowing were Caitlyn Bergman, Mia Bottone, Olivia Caione, Lilian Holt, Olivia Kowalski, Doria Lukasik-Drescher, Lauren McQuillan, Susan Munley, Giovanna Ponte, and Lila Shover.
Honorees from Sacred Heart Lightweight Rowing included Sara Blakely, Ava Del Greco, Drew Ditullio, Gabrielle Gottschall, Jacqueline Paradiso, and Trinity Savage.
The recognition highlights the dedication of Sacred Heart's student-athletes to achieving success both academically and athletically. Balancing the demands of collegiate rowing with rigorous academic coursework, these 16 Pioneers exemplify the scholar-athlete model and continue to represent Sacred Heart with distinction in the classroom, on the water, and throughout the university community.
