Sacred Heart University rugby has announced its Fall 2026 schedule.
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart University rugby has announced its Fall 2026 schedule, featuring a challenging slate of regional and national opponents as the Pioneers prepare for another competitive season in the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA).
The Pioneers open the 2026 campaign at home on Sept. 5 against Harvard, with the matchup serving as Senior Day. Sacred Heart then hits the road for back-to-back contests, traveling to Army on Sept. 19 before heading to Queens on Sept. 26.
October brings a three-game stretch highlighted by a pair of home matchups. Sacred Heart hosts Davenport on Oct. 3 and AIC on Oct. 16 before traveling to Dartmouth on Oct. 24.
The Pioneers close out the regular season on Oct. 31 with a matchup against Penn State, setting the stage for the NIRA postseason.
Sacred Heart will look to make a postseason run, with the NIRA Semifinals scheduled for Nov. 14. The NIRA Championship is set for Nov. 21, giving the Pioneers an opportunity to compete for a national title.
