Haas and Schwartz Named Women’s Swimming and Diving Captains for 2026-27 Season

Both Pioneers return for their second season serving as team captains
Haas, a native of West Sayville, N.Y., enters the season as a graduate student in the Farrington School of Education after graduating early from Sacred Heart last year with a degree in psychology. A two-time CSCAA National qualifier, Haas is also a school record holder in the 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay. In addition to her contributions in the pool, Haas is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Schwartz, a psychology major from Ridgewood, N.J., returns as a veteran presence for the Pioneers. A multi-year MAAC finalist in both the 100 and 200 backstroke, Schwartz currently ranks fifth all-time at Sacred Heart in the 200 backstroke.
Together, Haas and Schwartz will lead the Pioneers into the 2026-27 season as they continue to build on their experience as team captains and leaders both in and out of the pool.
