The Pioneers finish seventh as a team
SEEKONK, Mass. – Ronan Mooney cleared the field at the 2026 Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate, claiming medalist honors on Sunday after a third consecutive under-par round at the Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, Mass.
SHU finished seventh as a team following a team score of 288 (+4) on Sunday. The Pios carded rounds of 283, 292 and 288 for a final mark of 863 (+11). Bryant (-2) came away with a close win, as FDU (-1) and LIU (E) were right on its tail.Â
Mooney rolled the momentum from an exceptional opening day into a victory Sunday afternoon. The sophomore held a one-stroke lead after yesterday's action, but widened the margin in round three with a two-under 69, setting his mark at 202 (-11). Mooney was the lone golfer at the event with three under-par rounds.Â
First-year Brody DiBeneditto moved up the leaderboard with a one-under 70 today. The Watertown, Conn., native finished with a final score of 216 (+3) following rounds of 72, 74 and 70.Â
Andrew Hahn and James Bradley were next on the leaderboard, finishing T40th and T55th, respectively. Hahn finished at 221 (+8), while Bradley carded a 224 (+11). Luciano Moratinos placed 88th.Â
The Pios continue the fall slate on Sunday, Sept. 27, for the three-day UConn Invitational at the GreatHorse Golf Club in Hampden, Mass.
