Men’s Golf Concludes Play at Shortened UConn Invitational

The Pios finished in 11th place

HAMPDEN, Mass. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team finished the rain-shortened 2026 UConn Invitational in 11th place on Tuesday. Rain shortened the event to 36 holes after it made the GreatHorse Golf Club in Hampden, Mass., unplayable on Monday.

The Pioneers carded a team score of 304 (+16) on Tuesday, finishing at 615 (+39). Rhode Island claimed the win at +2, while Boston College (+13) and Bryant (+16) rounded out the top three.

First year Brody DiBeneditto led the team with a two-day score of 150 (+6). The Watertown, Conn., native carded rounds of 73 and 77 to tie for 21st.

Quin Adams saw the biggest rise today for SHU after an outstanding 73 (+1) in round two. The sophomore climbed 23 spots to tie for 30th at 152 (+8).

Robby Zyskowski III (T59th), James Bradley (T66th), Ronan Mooney (T81st) and Brooks Hansen (84th) rounded out the SHU golfers.

The Pios hit the road again on Monday, Oct. 5, for the first two days of the Testudo Cup, hosted by Maryland at the P.B. Dye Golf Course in Ijamsville, Md.
