Men’s Golf Finishes in Second at Red Bandanna Invitational

DiBeneditto climbs to third on final leaderboard
VERONA, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University men's golf team remained in second at the Red Bandanna Invitational after the final round at the Turning Stone Resort Kaluhyat Course in Verona, N.Y. on Monday.
The Pioneers broke a tie with Palm Beach State, finishing with a team score of 886 (+22). SHU carded a 294 (+6) in round three, one stroke shy of the best round of the day. In total, Sacred Heart carded scores of 289, 303 and 294 to take second to Harvard (+12) in its first event of 2026-27.
First year Brody DiBeneditto led the way for SHU in third place. The Watertown, Conn., native carded a one-under 71 today to climb three spots on the final leaderboard.
Ronan Mooney tallied his second straight year with a strong open to the season, placing sixth. The sophomore carded rounds of 71, 74 and 75 to record his second straight top-10 showing at the Red Bandanna Invitational.
The middle pack of the Pioneers finished closed together. James Bradley and Robby Zyskowski III placed one spot apart in 16th and T17th, respectively. In his first event as a Pioneer, Bradley finished the 54 holes with a score of 227 (+11), while Zyskowski kicked off his junior season with a score of 228 (+12).
Andrew Hahn and Sho Suzuki both placed in a tie 20th with scores of 230 (+14). Suzuki had a great round three, climbing 14 spots on the leaderboard with a Monday 73 (+1).
The Pioneers hit the course again Saturday, Sept. 19 for the first of two days at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate, hosted at the Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, Mass.
