Brendan Heller returns to Sacred Heart University after previously serving as an assistant coach during the 2020-21 season. He spent the past four years as the head girls swimming coach at Greenwich High School, leading the team to a 42-5 record, three Fairfield County Championships, four State Divisional Championships and three undefeated seasons that ended with Connecticut State Open titles. He also coached 50 All-State performers and 12 All-Americans.
Heller has also coached at Woodland High School and currently serves as the head coach of Amity Regional Aquatic Club. Prior to returning to Fairfield, he was an assistant coach at Carnegie Mellon and Manhattan College.
A First Lieutenant in the Rhode Island National Guard, Heller is a 2012 Bryant University graduate, where he was a four-year Division I swimmer and team captain. He earned his master's degree from Xavier University in 2020. Heller resides in Orange with his wife, Kristen, and their two sons, Andy and Chase.
