Switzer enters his fifth year as assistant coach for the Sacred Heart men’s wrestling team. Along with his coaching duties, Switzer also oversees academics for the team.
Since his arrival, the men’s wrestling team has had two NCAA qualifiers – Joe Accousti and Nick Palumbo – as well as ranked within the top 30 in the nation in GPA over the last five years.
Switzer earned a master’s degree in Summer of 2023 in Strategic Communications and Public Relations from Sacred Heart. He graduated from Lehigh University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in English.
He currently resides in Norwalk, CT, with his fiancée Kari.

- Began coaching in 2015 at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA.
- He coached four Pennsylvania State placers over three seasons.
- Originally from Annapolis, MD.
- Attended Archbishop Spalding High School
- A 2011 State Champion and a 2010 NHSCA National Champion.
