Murdock enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Sacred Heart football team in 2026. He works primarily with the outside linebackers.

Murdock brings nine years of coaching experience and four years of collegiate playing experience from the University of Toledo to Lewisburg. He is a 2016 graduate of the University of Toledo, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and played inside linebacker for four years. He played 49 of 52 college season games, including three Bowl Games, and earned First And Monday (FAM) Sophomore All-America Team honors for the 2013 season. Murdock ranked second in the Mid-American Conference with 9.9 tackles per game and 109 total tackles in 2013 and was a 2013 Hustle Belt All-MAC Second Team player. Murdock led the Toledo defense in tackles in 2015 with their #5 nationally ranked rushing defense.

Bucknell (Fall 2025)

Served as special team coordinator and linebackers coach
Led special team units from 111th to the 13th in the country
Finished 27th in the country in kickoff return defense
Fourth in the country in blocked punts and 1th in the country in punt returns

University of Utah (2021-25)

Prior to having the assistant coach position, Murdock served as both a defensive graduate assistant and a defensive administrative assistant
Responsible for teaching the defensive playbook to incoming linebackers
In charge of drawing game plan installs using Visio
Calling offensive personnel on game day and arranging the defensive play call sheet for games
Led all scout offensive meetings
Worked directly with four players who ended up being drafted in the NFL as well as multiple All-America players and a Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.

North Park University (2019-2021)

Served as a linebackers coach and special teams/ strength and conditioning coordinator before being promoted to the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.
He developed and utilized a playbook consisting of 4-2-5 and 3-4 defensive ideas

St. Thomas (2018-19)

Served as the linebackers coach
Coached two First Team All-Conference linebackers
Ended the season as the #1 nationally ranked defense

St. Viator High School (2017-18)

Served as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach
Helped the team qualify for the Illinois State Playoffs for the first time in back-to-back seasons in over a decade
