Mia Loewenberg joined the Pioneers in August 2026 as a Graduate Assistant for Student-Athlete Sports Services where she will work directly with women's rowing, men's and women's tennis, men's and women’s fencing and equestrian.
Loewenberg comes to Sacred Heart following a four-year career as a women’s soccer player at New England College. A midfielder, Loewenberg appeared in 75 career games and made 61 starts, recording 16 points for her career on seven goals and an assist.
During a senior campaign where she was team-captain, Loewenberg started all 18 games, finishing with nine points on four goals and an assist. For her career, she was named All-Conference three times and named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District following three seasons.
In addition to women’s soccer, Loewenberg was a member of the Sports and Recreation Club and was also on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Capping off her collegiate career, Loewenberg was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, as a senior.
A native of Milford, Conn., Loewenberg completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology with a minor in psychology Summa Cum Laude at New England College and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in occupational therapy at Sacred Heart.
