Samantha Keough joined the Sacred Heart Strength and Conditioning staff as a graduate assistant conditioning coach in August 2026 and works with women’s rowing, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf and is a secondary contact for women’s basketball.
A graduate of Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science and a minor in health science, Keough was a member of the Metro Conference Champion women’s rowing team with a pair of conference titles to her credit in 2024 and 2026.
Keough, who is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) has previous experience working with softball, men’s lacrosse (Division I and club level) and high school football during her undergrad years. Through that experience, she worked on developing athletes through strength training, movement development, mobility and performance testing.
In addition to being a member of the women’s rowing team, Keough served as Jacksonville’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) President and was the secretary for the Atlantic Sun’s SAAC, where she advocated for and represented student-athletes at the conference and national level. In addition, she was Vice President of Morgan’s Message which supports student-athletes mental health and well-being.
Outside of collegiate athletics, Keough was a Ventnor City Beach Patrol Lifeguard with experience in ocean rescue and emergency response. Additionally, she was the Women’s Singles South Jersey Lifeguard Champion and was on the winning South Jersey Lifeguard Championship team.
