Coach Hyatt enters her second year coaching sprints, hurdles, horizontal jumps, and relays at the Sacred Heart University Track & Field program after making an immediate impact during her first season with the Pioneers. Under her leadership, Sacred Heart athletes earned 22 All-MAAC performances and helped secure the program's first Men's Indoor MAAC Championship. Highlights included Gavin Alvarez capturing the MAAC Indoor 200m title and earning MAAC Indoor Rookie of the Meet honors, while Colin Brown and Nyahingiva Musa claimed IC4A/ECAC Championship titles in the men's 200m and women's 100m, respectively. During her tenure, multiple school records have been rewritten across sprint, relay, hurdle, and middle-distance events.
Prior to returning to Sacred Heart, Hyatt spent a season at Woodberry Forest School in Virginia, where she coached jumps and hurdles. Her athletes earned indoor and outdoor state championships in the long jump, high jump, and triple jump, while setting school, conference, and state records. Woodberry Forest also captured both an indoor conference championship and an outdoor state title during her tenure.
Hyatt brings extensive collegiate coaching experience, having served on staffs at Columbia University, La Salle University, and George Mason University. At Columbia, she contributed to the program's first Ivy League Heptagonal Women's Indoor Championship. At George Mason, she helped guide teams to five Atlantic 10 Conference championships, including the program's first Men's Indoor title, while coaching multiple conference champions, All-Conference performers, NCAA Regional qualifiers, and all-time program top performers.
A former standout student-athlete at Sacred Heart, Hyatt competed in the heptathlon, hurdles, relays, and jumping events. She was a member of the University's first Division I conference championship team and earned All-Conference, All-New England, and ECAC honors throughout her career. Hyatt was also the recipient of the prestigious Gary Rose ECAC Award.
Hyatt earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Sacred Heart and was a member of the inaugural class of the University's Master of Science in Exercise Science and Nutrition program.
