Steve Sokol begins his first year at Sacred Heart University in 2024 as an Assistant Coach for the men’s and women’s golf programs.
Before joining the Pioneers, Sokol served as the head golf coach at Post University for 11 seasons. His accomplishments included leading the Eagles to eight NCAA Regional appearances and coaching the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year in 2021-22 and 2022-23. Sokol was also a two-time CACC Coach of the Year.
Sokol was also a decorated collegiate golfer at Florida Southern. The two-time Division II First Team All-American was named the 2001 NCAA Division II Player of the Year and won the individual national championship. Sokol was named to the Florida Southern Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
Sokol has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and sports management from Florida Southern.
