Women's Basketball at Lafayette Tonight; Brooke Kelly goes for 1,000th point

The Storyline...Sacred Heart will look to shake off the 26-point defeat suffered at the hands of the University of Massachusetts on Friday night as they take on the Lafayette Leopards in search of their first win of 2002-03. The Pioneers dropped a 74-48 decision to the Minutewomen and are hoping to get their offense on track as they shot just 33.3% from the field while committing 26 turnovers in the loss. Freshman Nicolle Rubino made quite the splash in her collegiate debut for the Pioneers. The guard from Port Jeffereson, NY put together a solid effort despite the loss, knocking down the first four shots of her career, all three-point makes, en route to a team-high 15-point night. The senior trio of Brooke Kelly, Ashley Durmer, and Brooke Rutnik were held to a combined 23 points and 12 rebounds whiled committing 12 turnovers in the loss. Lafayette comes into tonight' game on the heels of an 80-64 loss at the hands of fellow Northeast Conference member, Quinnipiac University, Saturday afternoon to open their season.
